Weiss-Aug seeks a skilled recruiter with proven experience to recruit for all levels of positions in a manufacturing environment. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and will provide support to the Surgical Products Division located in Fairfield, NJ. The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge of Human Resources practices and procedures with special emphasis on full-cycle recruiting including sourcing / recruiting / onboarding.
The primary responsibility of this position is driving the recruitment process for the sourcing and recruiting of direct hire openings. Types of positions range from administrative to technical (engineering) professionals and management in a manufacturing environment. Recruitment experience in the medical products or insert molding industries a plus.
Collaborate with corporate HR and hiring managers to write job posts, send it through approval, and post jobs internally and externally with job boards.
Source, screen, and vet qualified candidates for presentation to hiring managers.
Network online and offline with potential candidates to promote our company, reduce our time-to-hire, and attract the best professionals.
Develop a talent pipeline to assist long-term with hiring and retention.
Utilize multiple internet resources, including job boards and social media, keeping up-to-date with new technological trends and products.
Track and manage candidate database.
When assigned, attend job and career fairs at colleges and universities.
With the HR Director, develop offer letters.
Initiate background check and drug screen process; conduct reference checking as required.
Facilitate on-boarding process from Offer Letter to Day One including the organization of materials, conducting new team member orientations, verification of I-9’s.
In partnership with the corporate HR team, ensure HR recordkeeping is compliant and timely.
Document and maintain job descriptions.
GENERALISTS responsibilities INCLUDE:
Assist with benefits administration for trouble shooting of claims and management of all employee related leaves of absence.
Assist in the facilitation of annual merit cycle process and annual performance management process.
Assist in coordination of employee training and development, following up with employees and managers as needed to ensure required training is completed by established deadlines.
Process all resignations and involuntary terminations including preparing termination paperwork and conducting exit interviews.
Coordinate data requests from other departments with corporate HR.
Assist with projects, general reporting, and metric dashboards as needed.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education / experience.
A minimum of 5 years’ recruiting and HR generalist experience.
Proven experience recruiting for all levels of positions in a manufacturing environment; recruitment experience in the medical products or insert molding industries a plus.
Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques including internet and social media.
Hands-on experience screening and interviewing candidates.
Solid understanding of HR practices and federal and state employment laws.
Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation.
Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with all levels in the organization.
Ability to manage, protect, and maintain confidential information.
Ability to multi task and change courses quickly without compromising accuracy.
Strong administrative and prioritization skills; focused and attentive to detail; highly organized.

Committed and dependable.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
