Purpose
Our multi plant facility in East Hanover, NJ has a job opening for a Vice President of Manufacturing who will have responsibility for planning and directing production line management and related support functions including purchasing, planning, customer service, manufacturing, safety engineering, inventory, and warehouse.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Establishes and implements manufacturing policies, controls, and procedures.
- Responsible for inventory and inventory turns.
- Develops annual budget of all departments. Responsible for standard costs. Recommends pricing based on profit objectives.
- Coordinates with sales, engineering, and product development to maintain an awareness of current and future product plans.
- Works with tooling engineering to investigate product quality and manufacturing problems and determine most cost efficient solutions.
- Participates as a member of the Executive Team in the development of company business policies and plans.
- Interprets company sales forecasts and product plans and establishes corollary manufacturing plans to assure an adequate and timely supply of manufacturing products to efficiently fulfill sales orders and meet inventory requirements.
Qualifications
• BS Mechanical or Industrial Engineering required.
• 8-10 years’ precision manufacturing experience including some experience in stamping or molding.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Working knowledge of computerized manufacturing systems, ERP, six sigma.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Project.
