Reel to reel Molding
- Extremely small and complex, as well as larger insert molded
parts can be economically and consistently produced in a continuous
fashion, with little or no need for added labor.
- In line forming, cutoff and/or packaging operations.
- Complex sensoring and vision systems ensure mold safety and
product quality.
- Parts can be delivered on a reel, or loose and custom packaged
in boxes, tubes, trays, tape and reel, etc.
- A Combination of different leadframes can be molded simultaneously.
- Requires only (1) top and bottom mold half versus rotary which
usually requires (2) bottom halves.

| Reel to reel insert molding is a
molding process where a leadframe or carrier is fed automatically
from one or more reels, through a multi-cavity mold, where plastic
is over-molded onto the leadframe or carrier. It is then re-reeled
onto the receiving reel(s), and shipped directly to the customer
on a reel or fed into secondary forming and cutoff equipment for
further processing. Parts can be shipped loose or in custom designed
packaging trays or tubes. Reel to reel insert molding technology
has reduced costs and enabled our customers to automate assembly
operations that were previously extremely labor intensive or not
economical. |
