Manufacturing Accountant // job description
Support Controller in all accounting duties, i.e. monthly closings, accruals, account analysis, production result, variance, standard cost of production, etc.

Be proficient with the company cost system for both Manufacturing and Engineering and perform related projects as required.

Perform period end accounting closing process with Controller.
20%
Prepare journal vouchers for accruals, reversals and expense re-allocations.

Support operational functions in resolving accounting and control system problems as directed.

Back up Payroll function including Time and Attendance & Access Control system maintenance.
10%
Maintain fixed asset records.

Assist in providing outside auditors with all required accounting data.

Issue all Accounting and Financial reports to management after period end closing.

Maintain detailed account analysis for all General Ledger accounts not supported by subsystems and refer all issues to the Controller

Process ECO’s as required.

Cross-train in A/R., A/P and perform associated bank reconciliations

KNOWLEDGE // SKILLS // EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Accounting degree.
  • Knowledge of business systems, PC literate with experience in desktop application software MS Office, as well as payroll, time and attendance systems and ERP systems, communication both verbal and written.

  • Must understand business processes and have the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.
